Jon Feist (DJ Feist-E) grew up in California listening to everything from Nine Inch Nails to the Beatles. On a cold winter night in Berkeley, CA at the tender age of 16, Jon went in to a nightclub just to get out of the cold. The DJs there blew his mind and he decided that DJing was for him. A DJ friend took him under his wing and Jon began playing house music live for money in 1996 in Reno, NV and Lake Tahoe, CA. Those underground warehouse parties eventually led him to play in nightclubs in Reno and San Francisco.
In 1998 DJ Feist-E was playing huge parties and making records in Seattle, Wa. Always up for a new adventure, Jon moved to Mannheim, Germany where he sold records and played in countless nightclubs. When he moved back to the US in 2000, he was hired by a large dance club in Chico, CA. Home of Chico State where parties constantly raged. In 2003 Jon began working on the radio as the mixshow coordinator of KZAP Club 96.7 FM. He retained this position and continued spinning in the clubs while he sent off mixes to other radio stations across the country. DJ Feist-E's mixes were played in up to 7 cities at the same time at one point via satellite on major radio stations in Flint, MI. Philadelphia, PA, Ft. Wayne IN, Etc.
When Jon moved to Charleston, SC in 2006 he took a long break from DJing. DJ Feist-E has decided to get back on the scene in 2010 as a true veteran in the game and his skills are sharper than ever. Jon currently mixes live at Mynt, Silver Dollar, Joe Pasta, L.I.F.E, Tsunami's downtown, and Locals in Mt. Pleasant on a regular basis.
