It's incredible how quickly draft day(s) comes every year with the whirlwind of hockey, basketball and baseball flooding our screens, but the time is finally upon us where we sit back and watch the draft for the NFL 2014 season. Our Panther Nation is quietly awaiting to see who we are going to take on this year and they are doing it style!
The draft starts Thursday May 8th and is ending with a huge party hosted by our very own Panthers on Saturday May 10th from noon - 5pm at Harris Blvd location, Hickory Tavern (9010 Harris Corners Parkway in Charlotte). Admission to the event is 100% FREE with lots of delicious food and drink available for purchase including their incredibly wings and B.Y.O.Salads!
Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from former and current players – including members of the 2013 draft class - and enjoy appearances by Sir Purr and PurrCussion. You will be able to watch the NFL Draft on big screen televisions inside Hickory Tavern as well as outside at the Bud Light Beer Garden. Other outdoor activities include face painting, Twist the Balloon Man, a bounce house and field goal kick.
The party benefits Second Harvest Food Bank so bring three non-perishable food items or donate $3 to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win autographed items and Panthers gear!
If that's not enough, there are also events within the event. The Second Annual Draft Party Cornhole Tournament starts at 1 p.m. (registration begins at noon), with 25 teams competing for bragging rights, not to mention the chance to win luxury suite tickets, pre-game field passes and Panthers gear.
Oh and did I mention there will be a costume contest?
